The central piece of this quilt is Misty-Fuse lightweight fusible that was shaken in a bag with some bronze Pearl-Ex Powder to color it. Then it was fused to the black fabric and set into the quilt. The feather quilting really seems to highlight the interesting sheen and texture of the Misty-Fuse. The color in this piece reminds me of the filtered light that glows on the undergrowth in a fairly dense forest. I love that play of light on the foliage.
